Before meeting Ali, meditation was a “chore” for me- as an avid yogi I knew I should integrate meditation into my daily routine but I struggled quieting my mind and body. I had difficulty carving out time in my day for silence and stillness and when I did I was afraid I was “doing it wrong.” Thanks to Ali’s guided meditations I’ve shifted my mindset and am able to integrate meditation into my daily practice! Ali’s morning guided meditations were the perfect start to my day at Samkara Wellness Retreat. I left meditation feeling grounded and centered in the present moment, confident and relaxed for the future, and at peace with the past; my hours with Ali opened my eyes to all that meditation has to offer by simply surrendering! Ali’s radiates genuine positive energy and was able to peacefully guide our meditation through various breathing, visualization and energy exercises. She provided the perfect balance of guidance and silence, allowing space for us to quiet our minds and bodies. Ali genuinely cares about each person in her class; she always takes the time to answer questions or discuss your practice. I wish I was back on Koh Phangan and could attend a guided meditation every day, but I’m grateful that Ali taught me tools which have allowed me to maintain a consistent meditation practice at home!
